Besides PANTONE, how to find a different way to discover beautiful colors?

Every year we look fowards to the Color of the year released by PANTONE, it seems to become a guildline for R ＆ D department in industries whichever have something to do with fashion. We believe when outdoor life is getting more spotlights than before, outdoor furniture should play a better role in decorating, not just the functional one. Everyone is looking for good design proudcts. We have to be more flexible when we are trying to find good colors to suit all sorts of tastes.

How about the color of seasons?What kind of colors come up in your mind for Autumn? Yellowish or a light grey touch on green? Or the color of chestnut?

It is poetic to add the seasonal elements into home and garden decorating

Cushion can be a good helper to create such atmosphere. For furniture frame we can choose very basic color like beige, light grey, white, black etc., which cannot go wrong in most of the occasions.

When it comes to seasons, long time ago, Chinese goes to extreme. We separate the four seasons further, into 24 solar terms, which date back to 104 B.C. Those terms are very important timetable for Chinese because we are an old agricultural country and farmers arrange the production according to this system a lot. Colors of 24 solar terms Here we present some examples of traditional colors from 96 pieces of existing artifact in The Forbidden City, corresponding to 4 seasons, 24 solar terms. Li-chun (Start of Spring--Feb.3rd to Feb.5th)

Plants are coming back to life from the freeze. The world is getting warmer and the warmth eases the icy life. Best outdoor activity is flying kites.

These colors go great with furniture with slim legs, bringing a fresh breeze in the sunshine. Welcome back to outdoor!

Xiao-shu (Slight Heat--Jul.6th to Jul.8th)

Temperature is climbing up but not yet to the peak. Rain is the frequent guest of this season. Fruity smell is the theme of it. Orange is a color showing strong personality. Fine teak can make it softer and tender.Material like velvet, rattan or braid restrains the boldness but keeps the vigor here.

Qiu-fen (Autumn Equinox—Sep.22 to Sep.24)

It is a sophisticated term, so are the colors for it.We are less active because winter is coming, but gain tranquil and cooler thoughts. From niche to luxury design, you can always choose fine solution with these colors.

Xiao-xue (Minor Snow--Nov.22th to Nov.23th)

Coldness shouldn't be the stereotype for winter. It can be pure and smart. Blue is a soft and peace color. It is not as safe as beige and grey, but when combined with teak and cold brown, it can create incredible high-fashion vibe.

In fact, no matter what color you like, there are no bad colors. Color can speak for themselves when they go well with each other, sometimes go well with the textures, finishing, or even shapes.
